School of Biblical Studies - SBS
The School of Biblical Studies is an important part of Cornerstone's founding vision, to be a centre from which the Word of the Lord goes far and wide (Acts 19:10).
During the course students are taken through the Bible chronologically. Topics covered include the Doctrine of Christ and the Holy Spirit; these, together with modules on the background to the Bible and Christianity, compliment other aspects of Church's teaching programme. Therefore, providing an important complement to more practical training programmes, run within church life.
The course is completed by attending one evening a week over a period of a year. A Scripture memory programme accompanies each subject. Assignments are taken at the end of each topic for which there is a small fee.
The lecturers vary in teaching styles, bringing a dynamic breadth to the course and keeping within everyone's ability range.
Students who successfully complete all modules, together with the Scripture memory programme, receive a Certificate of Theology.
