Ready Steady Go! Pre-school

Ready Steady Go! is Cornerstone's sessional pre-school providing nursery education for children aged two and a half to 5 years, within the "Early Years Foundation Stage"

We are OFSTED registered for 32 children per session cared for by an experienced and highly qualified staff team.

We are managed by a committee appointed by Cornerstone Christian Centre. There is also a parent representative on the committee.

We aim to provide a safe, caring, friendly and stimulating environment where children learn through a wide range of play opportunities building on their own experiences, skills and interests. The pre-school is held in a church hall with a large garden for outdoor play.

For more detailed information please contact us for an information sheet.

Waiting list

Children's names may be added to the waiting list or a visit may be arranged by contacting the pre-school (see contact detail on right).

Early addition to the waiting list is advisable.

Activities at Ready Steady Go!

The children love exploring a wide range of play experiences and active learning opportunities both indoors and in the outdoor environment.

PARENT PARTNERSHIP at RSG

Thank you to all parents and families who joined us for Chatterbox Challenge last week. Also thank you for the sponsorship money donated so far for the Speech and Language Charity - I CAN. There is still time to bring any remaining sponsor money in after half term.

We are looking to provide lots more opportunities for you to be involved in the coming term. Look out for:

* MINIPOTS of CARE week - children can bring in the daffodils they planted last autumn and raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

* COFFEE MORNING on the topic of "Letters and Sounds" and "Every Child A Talker" (ECAT) - all about encouraging early literacy skills.

* PARENTS' / CARERS' VOLUNTARY ROTA - we would love more volunteers to come and spend a morning with us - dads and grandparents as well as mums!

Outdoor play at RSG

We love playing in the garden whenever possible - in snow, mud,or frost as well as sunshine!

Please make sure you continue to send your children to pre-school with appropriate footwear and coats, gloves, hats etc for outdoors so they can get the most out of their outdoor play.

Remember they will also need indoor shoes even if they wear their wellies when walking to pre-school!
